If you have a hectic life this is the ultimate getaway, from the second you pick your bags up at the airport and are greeted by an Ikos representative, to the second you arrive back at the airport everything is taken care of and nothing is too much trouble. We have been to a Greek Ikos before and we booked deluxe for our second Ikos trip and we felt this was worth the extra cost. All the pools are lovely and service was fantastic. The deluxe concierge went to special effort to meet dietary requirements. We enjoyed all the restaurants but particularly liked the beach club. Was happy to see that breakfast, lunch and dinner was a la carte apart from flavours which is the only Buffett restaurant. The two restaurants by the pool (Spanish and Italian) remain quite hot due to being in the sun until about 8:30 so if booking earlier dinners you are best to book the restaurants on the other side (beach club, Greek, french). I would particularly like to mention the house keeping staff (? Maria) she kept our room spotless and was so friendly with our son. In addition Andrea at the beach club who was wonderful. Agree with others the beach is not great but you don’t really need it. There are wonderful views of the sea from all the restaurants and it doesn’t stop you from doing water sports. We are so looking forward to our next Ikos trip and are excited to see their new offerings. Here's the good: - incredibly friendly and helpful staff. Especially in the kids club. You need to pay extra if your child is less than 4, but you can leave them there very well supervised in an AC environment. - lovely spacious rooms with good balconies. Cleaning staff do an excellent job. - like the other ikos resorts, very good food and drinks selection. We particularly liked the Italian, beach restaurant, and Greek restaurant. - fun shows for kids to enjoy after dinner. It's very easy to entertain your kids at ikos! - well kept large swimming pools and very luxurious sunbeds. Attentive staff by the pools too. What's not so good? I'm being a bit fussy here but... - the beach isn't nice. The sand is quite rough, stones going into the sea. Freezing sea temp. - food gets repetitive if you never leave the resort. Alot of similar items on all restaurants, minus the Asian restaurant which wasn't that great. - rooms can be noisy. We were near the lobby which was great but noise from the bar could get loud. And also being next to the cleaning staff area meant we heard alot of their conversations which sometimes woke us up. And finally, like all the other ikos, you don't really get the feel of the country youre in. Aside from everyone saying 'hola' and a giant Spanish flag on the building, you'd have no idea you're in Spain - even the Spanish restaurant isn't that great. So it feels like the resort could be anywhere, a bit like a dubai hotel? But all in all a super choice for families. I wouldn't go without kids. But if you're with kids and a big group, a really good place to go! Charliemnr2022-07-18My boyfriend and I stayed for 10 days in June and had the best time! This hotel will do anything they can to ensure you have a good time, they take such great care of you. I would recommend booking a transfer directly with Ikos from the airport, as we used a third party transfer and we had an angry taxi driver abandon us at the front gates of the hotel. Fortunately Ikos was so lovely about it, doing all they could to welcome us to make up for it (even though it wasn't their fault as the transfer was nothing to do with them!). A great welcome made us feel right at home and immediately made us feel better. Communicating via WhatsApp is great, it's so easy to book an activity or ask the team a query this way. The food is AMAZING, trying out the restaurants each with beautiful views was one of our favourite parts of the holiday. I would recommend booking your restaurants well in advance though, you can book up to 2 months before you go. We ate at all the restaurants except Provence as we didn't like much on the menu there, but it meant we could go to our favourites a few times. The beach club and Fresco were our favourite. During the day the staff offer you snacks and drinks around the pool. We did kayaking on the sea, went cycling along the beach, played basketball and tennis and all included in the cost of your stay! The all inclusive vibe is great, and the staff encourage you to make the most of it - unlike some hotels I've been to in the paat who clearly don't want you to make full use of it. The only down side to this hotel was the beach - a bit smelly as its near some drains, and it was so windy that the sea wasn't very inviting with big waves. We are 'pool people' so we don't spend much time on the beach anyway so no problem for us, we'd enjoy a little stroll along the beach in the evening to watch the windsurfers and that was fine for us. However may be an issue if you like to go for a swim in the sea. They do have sunbeds and a bar on the beach though so I think Ikos are doing all they can, they can't help that it's not the best part of the beach. This hotel will do anything they can to ensure you have a good time, they take such great care of you. I would recommend booking a transfer directly with Ikos from the airport, as we used a third party transfer and we had an angry taxi driver abandon us at the front gates of the hotel. Fortunately Ikos was so lovely about it, doing all they could to welcome us to make up for it (even though it wasn't their fault as the transfer was nothing to do with them!). A great welcome made us feel right at home and immediately made us feel better. Communicating via WhatsApp is great, it's so easy to book an activity or ask the team a query this way. The food is AMAZING, trying out the restaurants each with beautiful views was one of our favourite parts of the holiday. I would recommend booking your restaurants well in advance though, you can book up to 2 months before you go.
